TWO-TIME NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE JOSIE MUSIC AWARD TRIBUTE BAND OF THE YEAR NOMINEE
Bad Moon Rising began in 2008, after lead guitar player, Steve Combs, attended a live concert featuring the legendary John Fogerty. Steve decided to share his love of Creedence Clearwater Revival's music, creativity, and idealism. He then formed a band with likeminded individuals who also shared the passion to keep the music alive.
Like the original CCR, Bad Moon Rising is a four-piece band, taking great pride in making their songs sound like the original recordings. They make use of a square-neck dobro for 'Looking Out My Backdoor', an electric piano for 'Long As I Can See The Light', and a Hammond Organ for 'Have You Ever Seen The Rain', among other nods to the originals.
Bad Moon Rising has played countless sold-out shows with up to 5,000+ in attendance. BMR has left their mark, spanning from all over Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Georgia, and have always been asked to come back. They take pride in making the classics of Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty's solo songs come to life, and make the audience feel the power that these classics have left in their hearts.
